2026 LEXUS IS350
For the 2026 model year, Lexus has heavily streamlined the IS lineup, making the IS 350 the core focus of the family. The previous 4-cylinder (IS 300) and V8 (IS 500) options have been discontinued, leaving the proven 3.5-liter V6 as the exclusive engine.
The 2026 model also introduces a long-awaited, major technology overhaul inside the cabin and standardizes aggressive F SPORT styling across the board.
Performance and Powertrain
Every 2026 IS 350 uses the same naturally aspirated powerplant, with the transmission and handling characteristics varying by drivetrain and package:
Engine: 3.5L Naturally Aspirated V6
Horsepower: 311 hp @ 6,600 rpm
Torque: 280 lb-ft @ 4,800 rpm
Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): Paired with an 8-speed Sport Direct-Shift automatic transmission. RWD models equipped with the optional Handling Package receive a Torsen limited-slip rear differential.
All-Wheel Drive (AWD): Paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a rear-biased AWD system.
Fuel Economy: 19 city / 27 highway / 22 combined mpg.
Major Interior and Tech Upgrades
The 2026 interior addresses previous criticisms by completely replacing older infotainment setups with a highly modern dual-screen layout:
Lexus Interface Touchscreen: A new, standard 12.3-inch central touchscreen replaces the old 8-inch unit. It features faster processing, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and the “Hey Lexus” natural language voice assistant.
Digital Cockpit: A standard 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster sits ahead of the driver, featuring sharp graphics and customizable layouts that change based on the selected drive mode.
Console Redesign: A textured Forged Bamboo style finish replaces the older, scratch-prone piano black trim on the center console.
Standard Amenities: Every model now includes a wireless smartphone charging pad, four USB-C ports, and multi-color ambient cabin lighting.
Trim Structure
The lineup is broken down into two main tiers, both featuring standard F SPORT exterior bodywork, sport bumpers, a signature wide-stance grille, and 19-inch wheels:
F SPORT Design: Focuses on aggressive looks and the complete upgraded tech suite at a more accessible entry point. Includes heated NuLuxe front seats and a power moonroof.
F SPORT: Adds functional performance and comfort upgrades, including bolstered heated and ventilated front sport seats, a heated F SPORT steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and memory settings.
F SPORT Handling Package (Optional on F SPORT): Adds an Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and sharper chassis tuning for enthusiast-focused driving dynamics.
Special Appearance Package: A highly limited, visually distinct special edition featuring unique styling accents.
Safety Technology
All 2026 models are upgraded to the standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite, which includes:
Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian, Cyclist, and Motorcyclist Detection
Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Lane Tracing Assist and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
Road Sign Assist
Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
An optional Technology Package on upper trims adds advanced driver assists like Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change Assist, and Front Cross-Traffic Alert.
