Matthew Montag

Matthew Montag grew up in Plainview/Old Bethpage and now resides in Commack. A proud employee of the FDNY and Local 3 IBEW, Matthew is dedicated to his community and profession. He’s a family man with two daughters and enjoys spending quality time with his loved ones. In his free time, you can find him at Hoyt Farm, one of his favorite local spots, or working on one of his many hobbies, including hockey, snowboarding, and building things—he has a knack for constructing just about anything!

A sushi enthusiast, Matthew frequents Yokohama in Commack to indulge in his favorite cuisine. When he’s not cheering on the NY Rangers, he’s dreaming of snowboarding out of a helicopter in the western mountains. His favorite vacation is cruising, and his go-to karaoke song is “Build Me Up Buttercup.” Matthew’s favorite quote, “In seeking happiness for others, you will find it in yourself,” reflects his selfless nature. While he believes sometimes you have to be selfish to be selfless, his life is proof of a balance between both.
