Lance Cotten has been deeply immersed in the automotive industry for the past 30 years. Starting his career at Talley Motors/Chevrolet/ Hyundai/Buick, his quick rise to the #1 sales slot, selling 26+ cars on average a month, led him to become floor manager. Lance continued to rise the ranks and became The General Manager of 2 Volvo stores and a Mercedes store; taking the Glen Cove Volvo store to #1 in the USA and guided the Mercedes Store out of $5 million in debt; turning it into a profitable store grossing $3 million in under 2 years. After this, once again Lance began to use his special influence and knowledge of the industry to become regional manager oversee 11 stores. In 2020, just before the explosive pandemic, Lance accepted a GM position, in-store, with Land Rover/Jaguar so he could spend more time home with his family. In one of the worst years ever for the automotive industry, Lance was able to double net profit in a covid year and took the company to $4 million in sales.
Finally, Lance found his ultimate home as Managing Partner of CarJoy; a New and used car leasing service that buys off leases and retail vehicles and hands their customers equity checks because unbeknownst to most customers, there is equity in most every lease return. Lance has relationships with a bevy of showroom managers and continues to keep his relationships well maintained in order to offer his CarJoy customers the best deals possible. Lance feels honored to be able to serve the car industry with transparency, honesty, integrity and the white-glove service they deserve.
Eric Molbegat has spent 25 years managing numerous retail stores, including; Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Lexus, Ferrari, Maserati, Jaguar and Range Rover, in addition to wholesaling cars from 5 thousand dollars to well over $1million. After a decade of training and tenure with The Fortune 500 Company, Group One Automotive, Eric developed his equity mining strategy which ensures that customers returning a leased vehicle will receive the optimal equity possible. Since joining The CarJoy Team; Eric is honored to have handed hundreds of equity checks to company customers and clients. Eric lives in Plainview, NY with his wife Cimberly, their three boys and two Shitzus, Mollie and Luna and enjoys The New York islanders, car racing, contemporary art and fine dining.
